Here it is, Lord –

I have one last thing to give you,

and I’m finally ready.

I’ve been clutching it heavy to my chest for so long

that I started to think it was part of who I am.

But I finally realize,

it’s just a rain cloud-

and I’m the vast openness beyond-

I can choose to let the shadow float on by.

I’m finally ready to let go of every stormy belief

that stops Your light from radiating through me.

I want Your love to shine through my soul like a sunny day.

Thank You for Your constant ability to illuminate our world, 

and thank You for waiting so patiently for me to get out of Your way.
