Thank You God for being our rock

Lord, Thank You for the power of Your Word and Spirit. Thank You for the sacraments of Your Church.  Thank You for all the faithful, who are doing Your work in the world. Thank You for the guardian angels working on our behalf. Thank You for Your voice in our hearts. Thank You for being so trustworthy and strong. Thank You for all the marvelous signs that point to Your Glory all around us.

Please give us the grace to follow You and build our lives on the solid foundation of Your Truth, always.

In Jesus name,

Matthew 7 24-27: “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

Thank you for being so kind

In a world that can be cruel,

I want you to know how deeply I appreciate

your consistent expressions of genuine kindness.

Through your authentically loving presence,

thoughtful words and gestures –

the purity of your intentions are deeply felt.

It’s wonderful to know I can count on you

to be consistently gracious, understanding and gentle.

Thank you for caring enough to be kind.

God bless you to receive back infinitely more blessings than you pour out on others.

The illuminated path

I may never know, whose prayers first lit

the path beneath my feet.

But I think the best thank you note

is to march on,

illuminating the journey for others as I go.

In a sense, we each must walk alone.

Yet we’re always connected,

through the intentionality of our souls. (72)

Prayer of Gratitude (for when times are tough)

I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. – Phil 4 11-13

‘Thank you’ is the best prayer that anyone could say. I say that one a lot. Thank you expresses extreme gratitude, humility, understanding.

God, You know it’s not easy down here!

There is much going on in the world that is gravely concerning.

On the news, we see increasing violence, disease and poverty.

In our personal lives, we have struggles too.

Elie Wiesel said “When a person doesn’t have gratitude, something is missing in his or her humanity. A person can almost be defined by his or her attitude toward gratitude.”

We want to be fully human and trusting in Your Divine Providence, rather than being absorbed into the negativity all around us.

We want to be defined by Your Love above all else.

So today we choose to lift our hearts up to You in gratitude.

Thank You God

Thank You for the peace in our hearts, in spite of these difficult circumstances. We know it can only come from You.

Thank You for all the wonderful people, who spend their lives trying to bring Your Love to others in their families, professions and communities.

Thank You for the beauty of nature, which is jaw dropping even as we pollute the earth in so many ways.

Thank You for the family and friends, who we can depend on in good times and bad. We know You have put them in our lives for a reason.

Thank you for our beloved children, who bring so much joy into lives and point us to Your purity and grace.

Thank You for our homes and the wonderful food we eat each day, we know how fortunate we are to live such comfortable lives.

Thank You for the hope, meaning and sense of purpose that we find in You, especially through Jesus.
