Prayer for a miracle

Lord, today I am on the edge between giving up and letting go.

I need your help. In fact, you are my only hope. I am asking You for a miracle.

I have tried everything humanly possible to solve this problem, and it is not getting any better. At this point, I have no logical reason to believe it ever will.

Truly, I am facing the impossible. I am reminded of how powerless I am.

So I turn to You.

I know that by Your Very Nature, You are pure love.

I know You are infinitely powerful.

I know You want good things for me.

I believe that You absolutely can heal and create anything You want; I am sure this problem is manageable in Your Hands.

The miracles on earth are the laws of heaven

Lord, Please give me the grace to surrender every aspect of this situation into Your Loving Hands.

Instead of clinging to my fears, give me the strength to more fully grasp Your Love.

Help me to see this situation from Your perspective.

Open my heart to accept whatever lessons You want me to learn through this challenging time.

Make me a better person, for having gone through this.

Give me the grace to desire Your Will above all else.

And please give me eyes to see all the miraculous ways You are guiding, guarding and blessing me through this, so I will be truly grateful for Your gifts.

Thank you and Amen!

What miracle are you praying for today? Post below, and I’ll pray with you! Thanks:)

A Reminder to Believe in Miracles

The miracles of earth are the laws of heaven

Great creator of heaven and earth! Today, Through You, all thigns are possible. we are praying for a miracle!

Spark prayer (for faith in dark times)

Lord, I will stand strong for You.

I will not give in to this looming darkness,

but I can only shine so far on my own.

I want to be a blaze of Your brilliance in the night of this world.

Lord, stoke the fire of Your love in my soul.

Lengthen me, strengthen me, expand my ability to bear light …

Ignite Your power in the core of my being.

Fan the flames of my faith, so it is capable of parting seas …

I want faith that can move mountains and forgive atrocities.

I want faith that connects me to the magic of invisible realities.

I want faith that heals and creates miracles that reshape how we think.

I want faith so tall that evil sees me and shrinks.

I want faith so hot lies melt before they can touch me.

I want faith to hear God’s voice and go wherever it leads …

I want the gift of tremendous, luminous belief in You, Lord.

I want it burning in my heart for Your glory-

and I trust You will deliver.

Thank You in advance.

I will light fires all over the world if You give me the grace. (18)

Stay open to possibilities

Sometimes we’re like dry earth cracking,

parched and waiting

for rain to fall from the skies-

we can’t make it happen.

All we can do is ache

and hang on,

gazing up to the heavens-

praying for better days.

I’m here to encourage you:

the deluge will come at the perfect time-

just don’t give up.

Faith is being grateful for an outpouring of love in advance and

opening your parched self up to receive it,

reaching for it with every aching thing you’ve got

and praying the same for others.

Imagine how mercy will feel washing over your soul,

and keep hope.

Keep opening your heart into the clear blue skies,

until the floodgates open.

You are destined to be showered with grace.

You are destined to become a sanctuary of new growth.

You are a glorious garden of infinite possibilities. (23)

Experiencing God’s Grandeur

Gazing over the vast canyon

of Your unconditional love,

I begin to sense the depths You would go

to carve a place for each of us in Your ethereal home.

Everything gorgeous points to Your majesty.

The grandeur of nature exists, so we can marvel

at Your presence in it.

You call to us from beyond this world,

boldly proclaiming Your love.

Sometimes an unlikely wildflower

finds a way to grow in the cracks between ancient stones,

miraculously bathing in rich enough soil …

and I am nourished by hope.

A reminder to believe in miracles

I’ll never understand how you stopped believing.

The sun is shining, and your shades are drawn tight.

Why are you curled up in a ball on the couch,

when lavender breezes are right outside,

waiting to gently tickle you back into the flow of Life?

The full moon illuminates even the night,

but you hide in the shadows  –

bogged down in the mist,

I can’t imagine why.

There is a glistening ethereal reality singing your name.

It’s calling you right now …

Can you hear it in your children’s playful voices?

What about your bounding, smiling dog?

It’s like a radio with heavenly stations at your fingertips;

and you’re tuned into static instead of Love.

Can you at least try twisting to hope for a little while?

I want you to hear the melody of God.

I want you to dance to the tune of His miraculous healing power.

I’m telling you, it’s been there all along …

calling you out of darkness…

You were never really alone.

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been blind –

The Sun will rise again,

And you can be there to see it this time.

Even you can come back to life.

What’s stopping you?

The riches found in prayer

I’m here to tell you the good news:

There is a gemstone treasure waiting to nourish your soul in the quiet depths of contemplation.

If you could begin to fathom the wealth of graces waiting for you under the surface of life,

you wouldn’t hesitate to dive right into the crystal clear pool of silence.

I encourage you to swim boldly into prayer,

deep into the beauty of hope.

Even though it’s hard to let go of  the comfort of surface life and you’re terrified,

while the frosty water bites your skin,

and you imagine creatures hungrily swimming up

to devour your last resolve …

I’m here to tell you:

it’s worth it to carry on.

I know what I’m talking about because I had the grace to believe.

I dove into faith and lost everything,

even my own life,

before I discovered the miracle of infinite riches He’d created for me.

Now I’m alive in truth, bejeweled in dignity.

I finally realize my worth as the daughter of a King, and

I want the same for you.

The question is:

Do you have the courage to take the plunge?

How much are you willing to surrender to dive ever deeper,

into the sacred mystery of His love for you?

Are you willing to lose yourself completely?

The gift of noticing God in our daily lives

How can we experience heaven on earth

Earth’s crammed with heaven…
But only he who sees, takes off his shoes.
― Elizabeth Barrett Browning,

When’s the last time you reflected on the very best moments of your life?

For my Theology of Spirituality graduate studies, I’m reading a memoir called “A Severe Mercy” by Sheldon Vanauken.

I know. It sounds like a delight, right?

It actually really is, on a very deep level.

During the grieving process of losing his young wife, Sheldon realized to a profound degree the significance of the best, most love-filled moments throughout the life he’d shared with her.

In spite of their constant battle with the busyness of mundane responsibilities, some memories had a spiritual significance that transcended time and space. He said “I realized that without conscious awareness of it I had had – we all have had — other glimpses of the eternal.”

This realization helped him connect with the timeless essence of his wife in heaven and grow in deeper awareness of God’s presence in his life.

I hope he’s right that we ALL are given glimpses of heaven through experiences on earth. I know I have been.

I have divine childhood memories of being totally lost and free in the bliss of my imagination playing with my brother.

Running through the fall leaves as a cross country runner, while laughing with friends gave me a transcendent feeling of freedom and connection with what I now know is grace.

Through falling for the love of my life and marrying him, I have experienced countless moments of divine perfection. The joy we share, along with the security of unwavering love and support can only come from God.

Many moments with our children are heavenly as well. Rocking my babies and letting loose to giggle and play with my growing boys stand out as particularly divine, along with a growing sense of connection of our family as a whole.

All the very best experiences of my life include a sense of connection with others, pure love and freedom in being able to relax and be myself, with my spirit, senses and emotions all fully engaged.

At times I have made the mistake of giving credit to the person, place or thing that seemed to make so happy.

Through my own sorrows and life experiences, I have learned to let go of that illusion.

Now, like Vanauken, I give credit to God for creating that sense of transcendent joy through relationships and experiences.

I increasingly realize that everything is vulnerable to change on the physical plane, except His eternal love which is with us always.

We just need to have eyes to see Him in the people, places and experiences of our lives.

The more we focus on the timeless bliss of His love for us through prayer and meditation, the more of His spiritual freedom we begin to experience and the more gracefully we’ll pass through the disappointments of life.

He is truly available to us all through faith, in every circumstance.

When have you glimpsed the eternal in your life on earth? I pray you can clearly see God’s presence in your life!
