For those who are grieving, lonely or struggling with difficult family dynamics through the holidays …

There is
a greater
love
than
the one
you can see
right now.

There is
a greater
joy
than
the one
you can feel.

There is
a greater
celebration
happening
all around you,
just beyond this thin veil…

You are not alone in the crowd.

You are not forgotten in this season of Light.

You can never be lost
in the darkness of what you’re going through…

You are seen, you are heard, you are upheld.

You are invited
into a deeper realization
of the mystical reality
all around you,
angels and saints invisible,
glistening …
imperceptible,
searching …
for doorways into your heart.

hoping to deliver
graces
in time for Christmas,

hoping to bless you
with peace
for your journey through life  …

hoping to bring you
into alignment
with God’s infinite creativity,

hoping to remind you
of your place
in the eternal family of Light.

 

If the holiday season is a painful reminder of the struggles you’re going through, you are not alone! Grief, estrangement, loneliness, financial struggles and illness can make what is supposed to be a joyful season feel unbearably difficult for many.

Please know that by the power of God, no matter how brokenhearted, lonely, afraid or sick you are, you are never really alone. You are surrounded by angels in this season of Light and always. Grace is just a prayer away, along the communion of saints and the Lord Himself. Even when we can’t feel His presence, He is with us. Even when people, our health and society let us down, God never will.

Ephesians 3 14-21: 14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Lord, You were born into the most humble of circumstances and were willing to experience the gravest of our human suffering. When we are in pain, You are with us. Open our hearts to receive an inflow of Your Holy Spirit. Give us the grace to persevere through this dark time, and help us to grow ever stronger in truth faith, regardless of what we’re going through. In Jesus name, we pray.
