Please know,
you are not alone.
The bombs
are going off
in my heart, too.
I am rocking your babies in my prayers –
wrapping them in graces of peace
and sweet dreams,
asking the Lord to create
a beautiful life for them to grow into.
I am sifting through the rubble
of your broken dreams
and planting seeds.
I am working with God to create a path of grace
for beautiful reunions with your loved ones,
who have been called into battle.
You are not alone.
I am enlisting
armies of angels
to fight for you,
to pour graces into the world around you-
to feed you manna if need be,
to protect what is most sacred in you –
to be with you through it all
in a way I cannot be.
No matter how old you are,
you are someone’s child,
and the heavens know
what you’re going through –
I am rocking you in my prayers.
In the Spirit, you too are being held –
wholly embraced by the Divine.
I hope you can rest for a little while.
I know you’re under heavy fire,
but please
keep your heart open.
All heaven needs
is the tiniest crack
to pour this courage into you.
You can allow
the most powerful force in the universe
to infiltrate your soul completely.
Don’t resist what is best for you!
You don’t need to feel the love right now to believe –
You can’t escape the truth
of God’s presence with you:
“I am in the air you breathe.
I am in the earth rising up beneath your feet.
I am in your terror and your dreams –
I am the diamond force of love unshakable, rising up
to transform everything into more of me –
you cannot escape my presence.
I am your peace –
I am your victory, and I always will be.”
Psalm 27
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defender of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When evildoers assailed me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, they stumbled and fell. Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident of this. One thing have I asked of the Lord — that will I seek after — that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to look upon His temple. For He hid me in His shelter in the day of my afflictions; He concealed me in the cover of His tabernacle; He set me high upon a rock. And now, behold, my head has been lifted up above my enemies…Instruct me in Your way, O Lord, and lead me on a right path because of my enemies…I believe I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be courageous and let your heart be strengthened; yes, wait on the Lord.
Are you from the Ukraine or impacted directly by the Russian invasion of the Ukraine? Please know our hearts and prayers are with you and your loved ones, lifting you up from afar. It is beyond words to express how sorry I am for what you are going through and how deeply we are moved by the stories we are hearing coming out of the war zone. Please feel free to reach out for specific prayers below, and I will storm the heavens on your behalf.
Lord, help the Ukrainian people know you are with them. Fill their hearts with your love and the peace that surpasses understanding. By the power of your mercy, guard their hearts and souls from this darkness that is coming at them with such a terrible velocity. Please Lord, provide an outpouring of faith, protection and divinely inspired action to restore peace in hearts, minds and the countries involved in this horrible war. Soften hardened hearts. Give courage and inspiration to those in power, who can stop it. Inspire leaders to bring justice and healing to the Ukrainian people. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
