I danced with Lightning,
and I couldn’t stop laughing.
He was so wild!
As we zig zag bounded across the sky,
something heavy
lifted off me,
and I became Lightning too –
fierce and free,
like I am now.
Never forget:
Take time
to dance
with who
you want to be.
We become, who we dance with. Okay, that’s a little bit of a weird thing to say, but it’s true! It’s just another way of saying we take on the characteristics of the people we surround ourselves with, especially those, who we fully open ourselves up to and trust into our hearts and souls.
Through prayer, I open my heart and soul to become more like Jesus, who was “the Light of the world.” I want to someday be able to say “It is no longer I who live but Christ, who lives in me.”
The journey of transformation with Jesus challenges me to let go of people pleasing, doubt, fear, resentment, and so much more in order to more fully allow His Spirit into my heart, mind and soul.
By persevering in seeking communion with him over time, the fire of the Holy Spirit heals me, rejuvenates me, strengthens me, comforts met, convicts me, challenges me, transforms me, teaches me, guides me on new pathways and will never stop, as long as I keep handing my life over to Him through the inevitable trials of life.
Life can be hard, but Jesus is a delight – the life force and energy our souls thirst for, and He will not let us down.
Have you experienced Christ as “wild lightning” that brings joy and transformation into your life with the fire of His love? Comment below, and I will be delighted to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Lord, help us experience you as the “wild lightning” that you are. Light us up from the inside with the fire of your love, that all the heaviness falls off of us, and we may have boundless energy to do Your work on earth. In Jesus name, we pray.
