Even if you can’t see through a crystal clear sky
into the heavenly kingdom beyond
or hear a rush of angel wings
through the treetops swishing in the breeze
If you can’t inhale the essence of grace
through a freshly picked rose
or feel the warmth of spirituality
through the furry purrs of a little cat,
I pray you can tiptoe through these words,
through this veil that is so thin –
into the wonder of Divinity
that is embracing you
in infinitely creative ways right now.
I pray your jaw drops
when you realize the Glory of God
waiting for you just beyond
these invitations,
these ordinary moments,
these arrows pointing toward
the marvelous omnipresence of your Creator.
I pray you take a deep breath
and walk through
as many doorways as you can,
into a greater sense of communion
with what’s really going on around here.
How do you encounter God’s love for you through the natural world around you? People? Pets? Your physical senses? Words? Comment below, and I’ll be delighted to keep you in my prayers.
Lord, Thank you for being present with us in every moment of our lives. Give us the grace to say yes to you and all of your tiny invitations to taste, see, touch and encounter Your awe-inspiring creativity and love for us in the world around us. Help us to recognize the purity of Your presence, so we can live in the Light of Your love. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
