Encouragement to persevere in faith, hope and love

I wandered through the desert
until I found a trickle of water,
which I followed to a creek,
which led to a river,
which has a strong enough current
to carry me all the way downstream
into the ocean where I belong.

“What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well.”
– Antoine De Saint-Expuery

“Start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”
St. Francis Of Assisi

“All drains lead to the ocean.”
– Gill from Finding Nemo

Psalm 23 2-3 “He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.”

With faith, there is no such thing as a hopeless situation.

If you are in a desert time of your life for any reason at all, you can still grasp onto a connection with God through prayer. Even if it only feels like a trickle of water when you’re dying of thirst, by holding onto and cultivating your spiritual connection through the difficult times of our lives, we are guided and delivered into ever-increasing graces and spiritual fruitfulness.

How is your faith holding up through the trials of your life right now? Is it like a trickle of water, a creek, a roaring river or the entire ocean? Comment below, and I’ll be delighted to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Lord as we wander through the desert times of our lives, help us to find a trickle of hope in Your presence with us. Fill our hearts with faith, hope and love to persevere in cultivating an ever-stronger spiritual connection with You to carry us throughout our lives. Give us the grace to let go of our more superficial attachments and learn to love You above all things. In Jesus name, we pray.
