You can have a comfortable life if you want one.
A little to the left of the Truth,
you can settle down
and enjoy beautiful views of the mountain,
clean water,
a breeze …
You can survive for a long time
in the shadow of untouchable majesty
and even have some peace.
But isn’t there a part of you that wants
to explore the heights for yourself?
Aren’t you willing to climb for the gift
of experiencing more
of the nooks and crannies of God?
Aren’t you tired of gazing
at the summit from a distance?
Don’t you wonder how close
you can get to the Light?
Our Creator never stops inviting us,
never stops whispering into our hearts.
Can you feel Him calling you into the wilderness
of Divine adventure,
waiting patiently for you
to say YES?
Seeking God is a worthwhile goal in and of itself.
When we undertake the practice of prayer and meditation, we have to leave our comfort zone and encounter all the deep wounds, judgements, pride and limiting beliefs we are holding onto that block us from fully uniting with God’s perfect love. Though challenging and full of obstacles, a life of faith is truly miraculous and more valuable than anything on earth.
Pope John Paul the II said “The way Jesus shows you is not easy. Rather, it’s like a path winding up a mountain. Do not lose heart! The steeper the road, the faster it rises toward ever widening horizons.”
Have you set out on a journey toward God through prayer? What challenges have you encountered along the way? Comment below, and I’ll be delighted to provide you with encouragement and guidance for your spiritual journey.
Lord, give us the grace to say yes to the great adventure of faith. Strengthen us for the journey, and guide us safely through the trials we encounter on the path of Your love. In Jesus name, we pray.
