Like a flower blooms into fulfillment,
so can your heart.
Where is the Light in your life?
What high force is calling you
to open up?
Are you facing the right direction?
Is something standing
between you
and the illumination you need?
Are you spending enough time basking
in pure love?
In the same way that flowers need Light to open up and bloom into their full potential, people need the Light of God’s Love to open up and bloom into theirs.
Too often, we spend our lives in environments that are not conducive to our personal growth. We keep our guards up and are never able to fully express the beautiful soul God created us to be.
Today, I encourage you to reflect on your life. What activities and people make you feel closed off and shut down, like a flower stuck in the bud? Perhaps these are environments of harsh criticism, judgement or just activities that don’t interest you, where you can’t fully express yourself and feel heard.
On the other hand, what activities and people in your life help you feel open and expansive, like anything is possible? Do you have a group of encouraging friends, a faith community or an activity that you’re particularly gifted at that you can make more time for? Could you take a class or explore a hobby you’re passionate about?
What’s stopping you from spending more time around the people, places and activities that nourish you with God’s light and infinite love for you? How can you work to remove obstacles to receiving the nourishment and encouragement you need to blossom into your full potential as a child of God?
Take some time to contemplate the wisdom of Matthew 6 27-30 “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 3But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?”
Do you really believe God will take care of you if you spend your life basking Light of His love, which makes all things possible?
Lord, give us the faith to believe in Your great and beautiful plan for our lives. Give us the grace to live in the Light of Your love, trusting in Your inspiring plans for your lives. Help us to bloom where we are planted and grow into the glorious souls You created us to be. In Jesus name we pray, Amen
