Unite in Prayer: Start a ripple effect of God’s love, which is more powerful than this pandemic

We can’t always see
the way love
flows through our hearts
into the world
around us,
the way it creates
invisible ripples
that extend
on and on,
the way it
travels faster than light
across time and space
into eternity,
the way it
pours down from heaven like rain
and gradually soaks us through and through,
wins us over,
melts our hardened hearts,
teaches us to understand each other
and brings us together
in a spirit of unity.

We can’t always see
the way love
creates peace
and heals
and generates
the essence of life worth living.

But love is as real as light,
as joy,
as kindness,
as God.

Sometimes,
love is easier to feel
in dark times.

When all your other options are gone,
I hope you choose to shine,
to give freely what took so long for you to earn,
to bare your soul like the sun,
to let go of everything besides
that pure and essential nutrient
we all depend on.

I am choosing to trust
there is no real distance
between you and me,
no matter how far apart we are.

I am choosing to believe
that the good I send
into the universe
through prayer
matters,
that my kind deeds
though small
can send grace
across the world
to where people are most in need.

Lord,
help me shine
with Your truth
like the sun.
Help me start
a ripple effect
of Your love.

The only good thing about the corona-virus is how perfectly it illustrates our interconnected as one human family across the globe.

Though practicing social isolation is essential during this critical time time, we are all connected in spirit and can extendย  love to others through phone calls, letters, prayers and thoughtful gestures like buying groceries for those in need.

Through faith, we can rest assured that God is ultimately in control, and every act of faith we make during this time spreads His love into the world, hopefully inspiring others to spread that grace as well.

Before long if we all work together to spread Christ’s love in small ways, we can have a pandemic of peace, which puts everything we’re going through collectively into an eternal perspective.

Do you have any ideas of how to spread Christ’s love through this difficult time? Will you help me start a pandemic of peace through prayer and kind actions like writing letters, reaching out to those who may be lonely and bringing groceries to those in need? Comment below, and I’ll be delighted to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Lord during this time of fear, help us spread Your love. Keep us safe, be with us, guide us on the best ways to serve those in need during this difficult time we are all going through together. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
